Qmpa Yellowstone County Museum celebrates 65 years
KALISPELL 鈥?This weekend one of the biggest equestrian events in the West has returned to the Flathead for a world-renowned competition. There s nothing quite like it. There s nothing quite like being on the back of an animal and really you re putting your well-being in their hands, the back of an animal with his own brain. You ve got to trust that animal in that relationship and trust them to take care of you out there, said Marc Grandia, an equestrian rider from Washington.The Event at Rebecca Farm brings in equestrian riders to the Flathead from across the country. The competition is really second to none. There s only maybe one other competition that can compare and that s our national five-star championship in Lexington, Kentucky, said Tamie Smith, a world renown rider from California. So, we re very fortunate to have this place to stanley cup bring all of our horses, not ju stanley cups st our top horses, but our up-and-coming horses, to a venue like this. It s world-class. The Even stanley cup t is an Olympic qualifier and one of the only events in the West of its caliber. CINCINNATI 鈥?Brittani Gray wasnt expecting to be called Pad Lady. As the founder of Girls Health Period , Grays mission is to eliminate girls absenteeism in school due to their menstrual cycle. Gray s organization helps donate pads and underwear to more than 30 schools in the Cincinnati area. And Gray delivers them herself to each school up to four times a year. They say, Oh, the Pad Lady is here, Gray said. So that makes me so happy to hear, because Im like, I didnt think I was going to get this nickname, but Im so glad that you are actually talking about it and saying it out loud. Gray, a former Cincinnati Public Schools teacher, started the organization last year when she notic crocs ed an overwhelming number of girls didnt have t nike dunk he menstrual products they needed. Kids that didnt have products were using towels, socks, one-ply paper towels that are in the bathroom, plugging themselves with that, Gray said. It becomes a hygiene and sanitation issue and that to me was really when I became distraught. Girls Health Period also helps c af1 reate safe spaces within schools so students |
