Now I try to read as many real user reviews as possible before I buy anything. For fashion and clothing I pay attention to fabric thickness and stitching details. Sharing real world usage stories is often more helpful than any advertisement. Bad lenses can cause eye strain, reflections and headache when you wear them for hours. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else.

If they ignore basic questions or reply with copy pasted text, I become suspicious. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. Clear product descriptions save time and reduce the chance of disappointment. Of course shipping delays can happen, but good communication reduces stress. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. The same is true for metal versus acetate frames for glasses.
