Grocery stores prepare for more shoppers amidst another winter stormFebruary 17, 2021 Lexi Schweinert, Share This StoryFacebookTwitteremailPrintLinkedinRedditBOWLING GREEN, Ky.- In preparation for the second round of a winter storm arriving in Bowling Green on Thursday, residents are hitting local grocery stores to stock up on food and supplies.聽The shelves at Kroger and Walmart have taken a hit as people prepare for the snow.聽Melissa Eads with Kroger says that the items that seem to go the fastest are bread, milk and eggs. Eads said this past weekend, they saw a lot of people buying food at their store and are expecting t stanley cup quencher he same pattern to happen tonight.聽They had enough time Tuesday and Wednesday to restock items, but Eads says there is still a possibility they could run out of items.聽 Ou stanley cup r stores are facing issues that everybody would assume we are with trucks just being able to get to us. You know our vendors having staff to help work and load trucks and drive trucks and on our end making sure we can get our people in to help with the stores and get that product on the shelves. But we do feel like weve recovered well and are ready for this second round, said Eads.聽Kroger did close early on Tuesday night.
