State Fire Marshals charged a Washington County firefighter with setting fire to his mother s home.Investigators charged Connor Greenlee, stanley cup 21, of Clearspring, Md stanley cup . with first degree arson after determining he intentionally set a fire that caused $80,000 worth of damage to his mother s house. Greenlee was an active firefighter with the Clear Spring Volunteer fire company.On July 26, 2016 a person walking past the home in the 134000 block of National Pike in Clear Spring noticed smoke and told the occupant, later determined to be Greenlee, his home was on fire. He escaped without injury.Fire stanley website fighters responding to the two-story single family home found the bulk of the fire in the attic.Following an investigation, the Office of the State Fire Marshal charged Greenlee with first degree arson.He is being held at the Washington County Detention Center awaiting bond review.
